Corey Williams was born in Auburn, Alabama where she first ran for class president in 1991. Despite the loss, she went on to Harvard where she studied Fine Arts. She's held a variety of jobs in the marketing and magazine industry, but most enjoys photographing children. She opened her studio in 2010 and today Glee and Bliss specializes in portraits of children that reveal their spunk and spirit. She has three children and calls Chapel Hill, North Carolina home.
Mary has dedicated her career to advocating for women and girls. She served in the role of advocacy director for a statewide organization, working to engage more women in the political process. She most recently directed development and communications for an organization serving women and families. She is a published writer with a passion for including more women in the world of politics and leadership. Mary and her family live in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with their two mischievous mutts.
Sadie McGrady Runs for President - election picture book - is Mary's children's picture book debut, encouraging young girls to explore becoming candidates and leaders. Inspired by her work on presidential campaigns and her own daughter's run for class president, Mary created Sadie to help young readers experience the fun and excitement of a presidential campaign through the eyes of a confident and courageous peer. She hopes to inspire more girls to run for office.
